The laboratory provides support to companies in the sector of nutrition and livestock, through the realization of physico-chemical analyses to feedingstuffs (pasture, hay, silages, cereals, mixes, by-products), as well as in technical advice-consult.
The laboratory develops its activity in several research lines, namely:
- Study of the food component of extensive animal production systems;
- Use of markers for estimation of ingestion and digestibility of grazing animals;
- Use of in vitro analytical techniques to determine the nutritional value of feedingstuffs
