Introduction

Animal production and its optimization should be complemented with environmental damages minimization and without losses in the food chain. The MSc course in Zootechnical Engineering is approved by the Ministry of Science, technology and Higher Education, fulfills the admission requirements to the Engineers Profissonal Organisation and aims the scientific and/or professional knowledge developing and updating, with the skills acquisition in the design and execution of projects in the areas of animal production, product transformation and quality, integrating the economy of production processes, the environmental quality, animal welfare and public health.
