Introduction

The Master's Degree in Conservation Biology provides students with advanced and integrated technical-scientific knowledge on pertinent issues in the management and conservation of biological resources. With a completion rate of 98% and a success rate (number of students who obtain the degree / number of students who wanted to obtain it) is around 80%. These results are an indicator of the success of MBC-UÉ, which offers its students the possibility of taking advantage of Erasmus + mobility in the UK with our partner AMBIOS Ltd. MBC-UÉ has contributed to the training of students from different countries Europe, South America, Africa and Asia, and its internationalization has been steadily increasing.

Professional Careers

Environmental consultancy in the area of nature conservation in municipalities, associations of municipalities; technical support offices; environmental impact study companies; non-governmental organizations; Thematic parks; forestry, farming and hunting companies or associations; senior technicians in Ecology and Environment for central and regional administrations; Protected Areas offices; technical offices; entrepreneurship in tourism and nature activities; local development associations. Applied or fundamental scientific research in research centers, associated and public laboratories; IES. Secondary education: MBC-UÉ is recognized, for the purposes of article 54 of the Statute of the Teaching Career (DL nº270 / 2009 of September 30), regulated by Ordinance nº344 / 2008 of April 30, for the recruitment group 520 of the 3rd cycle of primary and secondary education.
